Project Overview:
ZeaVision LLC is a company that patented a dietary supplement, called zeaxanthin, that helps maintain vision health and brings hope to those with macular degeneration.
ZeaVision's primary audience would consist of consumers over fifty with progressive vision loss. A multi-channel strategy and automated systems support for marketing, sales, order fulfillment, accounting, and financial forecasting was developed from a single back-end system that provides the optimal interaction experiences regardless of the channel.
My Role:
My role was programming the designs for the web site while complying with ADA / 508 / WAI guidelines. Another feature added is the ability to increase or decrease the text size on the site to make it easier to read while still maintaining a visual appeal. I also created several Flash pieces for the site that act as information guides and attention grabbers. Other features include: Tell a Friend, Shopping Cart, Flash detection, dynamic content, administration screens, and more.
I also helped implement voice recognition software that allowed ZeaVision to use any telephone to get the latest information about sales, stock, and more. A web-based commerce, call center, order fulfillment, and real-time customer support system, as well as the ability to provide mobile operational metrics and control through wireless PDA and self-service sales support through interactive kiosks was part of my task and our overall goal, which was a success.
